Last weekend was my housewarming party and it was a huge success thanks to my good friend Pam and my wonderful boyfriend Matthew! I honestly couldn't have pulled it off without them! Pam made yummy appetizers and Matthew supplied a lot of the serving dishes and some wine glasses :) Thank you to all of you who came over for it! I realized that night just how blessed I am with truly wonderful friends. I even had a couple of neighbors come over and introduce themselves! It was great! I mentioned to one of my new neighbors just how thrilled I was to have bought the house from a fellow Christian, and she told me that the seller was pretty excited about it too. I seem to have such nice neighbors. The one on the right of me, Nancy, invited me to her book club last night and I got to know her a little better. That was very cool. The one on my other side (Elizabeth) has let me walk her doggie this week (a young pointer). I must have said it a dozen times by now...but I can't say it enough...God is sooooo good!
A few of us hung around and soaked in the hot tub later in the night and it was so awesome. I couldn't believe how exhausted I was after entertaining for a few hours, and boy did that hot tub feel good. Especially since Matthew adjusted the heater and the hot tub is actually HOT now! Looking forward to using the hot tub again this weekend! :)
BTW, I've broken down and turned on the heat, but I'm such a miser about it now! I would have never guessed this would happen to me, who likes to be toasty and comfy, but my heat doesn't go above 65 degrees in this house. I'm a little fearful of that next SDG&E bill, but I think I will be okay. Still waiting for that first water bill though...anybody know a good rain dance? Although I certainly won't complain about the beautiful warm weather we're going to have this weekend!
